• Hourly rate: $23.15–$24.50 (dependent on skill and experience)
• Location: On-site in Whangaparaoa (Stanmore Bay)
• Contract: Fixed term for 4 months (29/10 – 08/02)
• Hours: 20 hours per week—Monday, Thursday (10:00–14:00), Friday (08:00–15:30), Sunday (09:00–14:30)

About the roleOur café, located within Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa, is a popular meeting spot for the local community. This full-function front-of-house role includes:

• Monitoring the barista/coffee counter for service supplies (cups, plates, cutlery, etc.) to maintain quick service times.
• Preparing and presenting counter food and beverages.
• Processing orders and responding to customer requests.
• Maintaining high standards of food and general hygiene.
• Supporting the kitchen team as needed.

What will you bring?

• Previous barista skills preferred (hourly rate reflects experience and skill).
• Experience in a fast-paced café environment, able to work well under pressure.
• Passion and knowledge about food and beverages.
• Strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, working effectively in a small team.
• Flexibility to work during peak periods, including weekends and public holidays.
