Kiwis love to garden, and we love to assist them with their gardening needs! As New Zealand’s largest Garden Centre chain, we not only sell the best range of green goods, but we sell a full range of garden products.

We are looking for an experienced green fingered professional with a passionate, positive, and energetic customer-focused attitude to take on a key role within our Garden Centre at the new Mitre 10 MEGA New Silverdale store so if you know your aphids from your whitefly, your seaweed from your sulphates and can tell a trimmer from a strimmer, we would love to hear from you.

Familiar with the below?

• Provide expert knowledge and advice to customers on garden care, garden hardware and garden power tool products.
• Assist in the administration and merchandising of all garden care, garden hardware and garden power products. Be a subject matter expert on garden care, garden hardware and garden power tool products.
• Offer product knowledge and recommendations customers, around additional product accessories that might be required to meet their needs and requirements.

Does this describe you?

• 2-3 years’ experience working with garden care, garden hardware and/or garden power tool products (experience working in a similar retail environment preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of garden care products, related hardware and garden tools. Providing advice on the practical use and application for the garden care, hardware and related tools/products.
• Ability to apply knowledge to advice on the use of outdoor tools and chemicals.

Could you fulfil the roster pattern?

• Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours a week

• Mitre 10 Silverdale intends to not only be a world-class retail store, but it will be a full-range store with over 40,000 items of stock available, with electronic pricing as well charging ports available for EV vehicles. The range would include everything you need from your workshop supplies to homeware.
• Mitre 10 is known for having deep roots in the community and supports a variety of schools, clubs, charities, and not-for-profit organizations. The Silverdale store will be an integral part of the community and consistently on the lookout for schools, clubs, and charities to support and add value for.
