Join the Mizuho team as an IT Project Manager!

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from planning to implementation. Target projects are of medium-high complexity requiring strong motivation. Your responsibilities will include hands-on scheduling, project progress monitoring, issue tracking, and solution planning in order to launch projects successfully. You will facilitate communication with multiple stakeholders in order to achieve goals as a team.

The highest prioritized project is a CLM (Client Lifecycle Management) related project that covers client onboarding and AML compliance checks of KYC. Not limited to this, you will have the opportunity to manage multiple projects for multiple business fields across application development/installation project to infrastructure/environment building projects.

Project promotion methodologies will be either Agile or Waterfall, or combination of them. The right candidate will tailor the best approach according to the project nature, and have the capability of promoting / managing projects based on the agreed project promotion methodologies of Agile/Waterfall/Combination

Responsibilities:

• Join the discussion over the business requirements and IT solutions. Provide support for Business to create business requirement document (BRD)
• Taking a lead in IT teams to generate the project plan including resource plan, environment plan, Schedule, budget, test strategy etc.
• Generate the PPD (Project Plan Document) and take a lead to obtain necessary approvals
• Consolidate the WBS of each development teams to ensure the project feasibility. Based on WBS,
  PM will take a lead of tracking WBS together with development teams.
• Have flexibility and capability upon promoting project based on the Agile methodologies and supporting
  Scrum Master of development team
• Issue tracking and always updating to be the latest status until close them.(Track tool : JIRA or Excel) . Take a lead to put the actions in place in case critical issues happens or expected to happen.
• Work with IT development teams making SIT test plan with environment readiness and data preparation for successful and effective test execution.
• Support business users together with IT development teams to generate and execute their UAT plan and test cases. Provide support for UAT sign off works
• Facilitation over the communication within IT / with business / with vender including the project
  meeting setup and facilitation.
• Taking a lead in managing Change Control process with drafting materials to explain.
• Taking a lead of all required document (*) to satisfy accountability for tracking the project status and handling project issues.
• Manages the relationship and communications with key stakeholders across IT and Business.

  – SIT Strategy that shows test scope, schedule, test cases, test environments, exit criteria etc.

Qualifications:

• Deep understanding of client onboarding processes including compliance requirement of KYC
• At least 5 year experience of project management and/or IT planning and/or management works. Preferred the experience of working in Japanese global Bank either in IT or Business Operations.
• Preferable if he/she has experience of working at U.S Branch/Subsidiary etc. of Japanese Bank
• Understanding and experience as the Scrum Maser of Agile approach project.
• Significant experience and track record of support in delivering of major initiatives at large and complex financial programs. This includes project planning, budgeting and reporting of progress to achieve milestones.
• Detailed understanding of project management and risk control methodologies
• Excellent skills of organizing project documents including verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent management skills including experience at performing across multiple functions & areas.
• Superior communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
• Curiosity and understanding in multi-cultural environment

The expected base salary ranges from $160k-$180k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
