IT Support Specialist
Nature of Work
Provide first-level support and direction to end userson a variety of issues including the setup, repair, maintenance, and upgrade ofhardware and software. Identifies, researches, and resolves technicalproblems. Provide network supportservices as directed.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities
+ Perform Level 1 I.T. Helpdesk support functions.
+ Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support.
+ Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
+ Provide end-user technical support for computers, applications, and infrastructure.
+ Complete the setup, testing, and deployment of new PCs, smartphones, and tablets for end users.
+ Perform user account systems administration duties.
+ Coordinate the setup and installation of hardware and software for new IT equipment.
+ Maintain a database of all IT related equipment.
+ Troubleshoot, recommend and, as needed, resolve problems on company IT equipment
+ Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.

Education
An Associate’s orBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Combinationof 4 years of education and/or work experience in I.T. field.
Scope
Responsible for own work only; somedirect or indirect control over expenses and revenue generation; may make somebudgetary recommendations; accountable for results of own work.
Guidelines
Utilizes judgment in selecting, interpretingand adapting guidelines. Applies learning to achieve answers in differingsituations. Make knowledgeable recommendations that may reflect originalthought.
PhysicalDemands
Physical demandsfor this position are moderate. Typically the employee may sit comfortably todo the work. However, there may be walking, standing, bending or lifting of moderately heavy (25-50pounds) items. The work may requirespecific but common physical characteristics and abilities such asabove-average agility and dexterity.
WorkEnvironment
The work environment involves everydayrisks or dis comforts which require normal safety precautions typical of suchplaces as offices, meeting and training rooms, residences, commercial vehicles,or outdoors, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidanceof trips and falls and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.
