Our Oportunity:
We have an opportunity for a physically fit, numerically astute individual, who has an appetite for continuous learning, and would like to further develop their career in food manufacturing.
Joining our international food manufacturing operation in Palmerston North, you will have a varied role as a Process Worker. Your proven food manufacturing knowledge and experience will be complemented with ongoing training and support to develop of your technical expertise i.e. completing a Retort or Thermal Processing Qualification.
Working within a diverse production environment, operating equipment to support different stages of the production cycle; from weighing ingredients to operating processing equipment, running retorts for thermal processing, through to manual packing. You will gain experience across various aspects of the production, Packing and Supply Chain.
Critical to your success in this role, will be your attention to detail, mathematical skills, and natural ability to comprehend and follow instructions e.g., recipes and weighing of ingredients, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality control are always maintained. Good literacy and communication skills.
This is a physical role, that require lifting and product handling. Operations of work are between the hours of 5:00 am – 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Normal hours are 6:00 am – 2.30 pm, and individuals need to be flexible and adapt to production scheduling requirements. You may be required to work Saturdays, extend hours and in cooler environments to meet production requirements
