MCL are a specialist manufacturer of custom-built materials handling solutions for Systems Integrators and OEM partners across various industries, throughout the Asia Pacific Region.  After much growth and a move to larger premises in the New Year we are seeking an experienced hands-on Stores person, who is self motivated and flexible.

Ideally you will have worked in a small to medium sized business, have excellent attention to detail, experience with Excel, MRP and Accounting systems for inwards goods receipting and outwards goods processing. Skills Knowledge & Experience Required   

• 3-5 years experience in a stores role
• Proven success in working to deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Good computer skills with exposure to Excel, MYOB and MRP systems

Job Description

• Oversee the loading & unloading of trucks in a safe manner.
• Be involved directly and manage procedures related to receiving, checking & safe storing of inwards goods.
• Maintain records of receipts as well as issuance of items that are going out of the warehouse to ensure accuracy & completeness.
• Issuing goods to required departments such as welding bay or machining for in-house process work.
• Issuing & preparing goods for subcontractors such as sheet metal for powder coating or zinc plating.
• Arrangement of goods in an orderly fashion with a stock location system to ensure goods easily found & retrieved (A Stores Plan that fits the Business).
• Be actively involved & work closely with both Materials Processing Manager, Production Manager & Supervisor to ensure goods are available to suit production demands.
• Oversee the despatch of outwards goods via courier, truck, container packing & other methods as requested.
• To notify Purchasing Officer – Stock, Projects and/or the Materials Processing Manager when existing stocks of material require replenishment, or getting low, stock should never be exhausted.
• Reconciliation of physical stock lines is to match records in the computer system.
• To undertake the function of stock taking and confirm the periodic stock on a regular basis by working closely with the designated staff members.
• To notify supervisors of any dangers within the workplace and warn colleagues of any dangers in equipment, or hazards.
