Momentum Consulting Group Looking for Application Support Engineer at Wellington, Wellington Region, New Zealand Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer for a permanent position. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of a Java based application and work closely with customer support and technical resources to ensure speedy resolution and root cause analysis to minimise disruption.

Responsibilities

• Be an effective communicator and be the intermediary between the customer and internal teams to resolve technical problems
• Provide specific customer reports as requested
• Responsible for problem management, problem reporting and customer escalations.
• Customer Requests management – ensuring requests are investigated, monitored and progressed appropriately
• Understand and use technologies involved in customer solutions to increase problem solving capability

You will also be proficient in:

• Java, including JEE Technologies such as JSP, JDBC
• SQL, including the ability to write DDL and SQL reporting skills
• Application servers eg. Websphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, JBOSS
• Databases eg. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server
• Integration technologies
