About The Role
With a sense of fun and energy, the HR Business Partner will support the people leaders building their capability, engagement, and experience, and in doing so, enhance the community services being delivered.
Partnering with the business, and with the P&C team the HRBP will ensure that all HR processes are supported and align with business objectives. With exciting strategic initiatives ahead there are numerous interesting projects and pieces of work for the P&C team!
The P&C team plays a critical role in the organisation’s success, and with multiple community services with a focus on health, wellbeing, fitness, recreation, outdoor activities, and early childhood education, there is a level of challenge and complexity requiring someone who is confident, flexible, and with a positive can-do attitude.
Resilient and comfortable in themselves, whilst being good at building relationships, the HR Business Partner will quickly become a trusted advisor, and enjoy working partly in the CBD Head Office and partly remotely from one of dozens of facilities located across Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week if this suits you.
Importantly, the HR Business Partner will contribute to developing a confident, reflective and open team culture within the P&C team. The HR Business Partner will provide professional and customer-centred HR service, advice and assistance in the full employee life cycle and end-to-end employment relations processes, also acting as the Privacy Officer and being up to date with privacy laws and regulations.
The HR Business Partner will be assigned a portfolio with most facilities in Auckland and possibly two or three in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Working closely with the Group Managers and Centre Managers, from time to time, the HR Business Partner will want to visit all the facilities in their portfolio, and will enjoy the occasional day trip away.
About You
Highly personable, positive, and adaptable, you can build credibility and trusting relationships quickly with a diversity of people, inspiring, empowering and influencing others.
As a generalist HR practitioner, with at least 5 years experience, you will be up to date with working knowledge of HR trends and NZ employment legislation, experienced dealing with ER issues, recruitment, and be competent in using Microsoft based programmes.
Ideally, you have knowledge of New Zealand privacy laws, along with experience in developing and implementing privacy policies, procedures, and practice and/or be a quick study to pick this piece up.
Confident coaching others, you are comfortable facilitating workshops and have the ability to deliver against competing priorities.
Ideally, you are truly energized by adding value, engaging proactively, demonstrating empathy, and thrive inspiring, guiding, coaching and influencing people leaders on people practices and you are able to point to successes doing this.
