You will work closely with our Director of People, Culture & Skills, to refine and develop the HR business offering and implement new plans, making positive change across this area of HR delivery to enable the business to deliver its corporate plan.”

To join us as Head of Employee Experience & Business Partnering, you will be a natural leader at both strategic and operational levels. This is not a career move for the faint hearted, you will need the resilience, experience and interpersonal skills to lead the People Experience Team and transform our advice, guidance and partnering services.
Leading a team of 4 HRBPs with a wider team of 14, you will be crucial to implementing a new way of working to enable HR Business Partners to focus on senior level guidance, complex queries, casework and business projects.
You will be part of creating a new advice and guidance layer to respond to transactional queries and manage simple processes. You will have the ability to engage people through the change process, but also have the resilience to overcome challenges or resistance to achieve an outstanding HR service.
The Head of Employee Experience & Business Partnering at MaPS will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
· Has previously led a large team of HR professionals.
· Can provide outstanding leadership, support and line management through coaching, mentoring and performance management.
· Be seen as the HR technical expert for; policy, employee relations, business partnering, learning & development, diversity & inclusion, talent management and engagement.
· Demonstrate previous experience of building effective relations with unions and / or employee representatives.
· Successfully delivered both strategic and operational insight, interventions and services.
· Have experience of setting up and enhancing a new service within HR, be it a new part of an HR function or a transformed service delivery model.
· A confident and approachable leader who can work in collaboration, seen as a role model with gravitas.
· Able to motivate teams with the ability to influence others to deliver organisational change.
· Has previously used data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of service delivery and policies and can identify and implement continuous improvement to a HR function.
· Desirable but not essential; a working knowledge of HR in the public sector or understanding the mechanics of being an ALB is an advantage.

You will need to evidence the following qualifications:
· CIPD qualification (chartered/level 7) or equivalent.
· Coaching qualification (desirable)
