We’re looking for a hardworking, driven Partner Sales Leader with superb energy, passion and initiative to drive partner awareness and channel new business for the fastest growing database on the planet, MongoDB. The Partner Sales team focuses exclusively on formulating and executing a pipeline generation strategy through Partners within assigned territories, resulting in aggressive pipeline growth and new customer acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Develop regional holistic partner strategy aligning Cloud, System Integrators and ISV partners
• Own, on behalf of VP – Area Sales, all things partner related
• Proactively prospect, identify, qualify and develop a sales pipeline through our Cloud Partners, System Integrators and ISV partners
• Work with our Sales team to close business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings objectives
• Recruit and build strong and effective partner relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
• Lead engagement of strategic partners to develop their sales, pre-sales and delivery capabilities in line with our strategy of amplifying partners with capabilities and certifications to deliver for their customers
• Drive optimal engagement between MongoDB sales teams and partners on execution of sales strategy
• Initiate and conduct sales readiness training events to ensure SI partners’ sales capability
• Work with partner marketing to plan and implement marketing events for pipeline generation
• Participate in our sales enablement trainings, including our comprehensive Sales Bootcamp, sophisticated sales training, and leadership and development programs

Requirements

• BA/BS required
• 5+ years field experience of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on new business
• 5+ years of quota-carrying experience generating pipeline and selling through Cloud Partners, Global/Regional System Integrators and ISV in a heavy sales matrix model
• Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
• Intimate knowledge of GSI consulting and Cloud Service Partner organizations across multiple regions or verticals
• Examples of success developing and leading sophisticated strategic partnerships
• Proven background working in large complex organizations with multiple sales teams driving & building the partner ecosystem
• Strategic thinking skills to blend consulting and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new partner initiatives
• Proven success achieving & exceeding sales quotas or driving significant revenue through SI Cloud and ISV partnerships, delivering results
• Knowledge of technology, applications products/solutions, platform and SaaS
• Sophisticated communication & interpersonal skills, able to build trust, manage & influence relationships with partners, executive leaders and internal teams with credibility & ease
• Examples of how to create and build differentiated relationships with partners
• Able to adapt to complexity & change continuously, thinking on multiple levels of abstraction; demonstrating outstanding critical thinking techniques
• A track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
• Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g. MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
• Familiarity with databases, devops and open source technology a plus
• Driven and competitive: Possess a strong desire to be successful
• Skilled in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunities
• Possess aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility. High EQ and self-aware
