Monks Home Improvements Hiring for Accounting Clerk Job at Bernardsville, NJ Full Time

Monk’s Home Improvements is a full-service home improvement company in New Jersey. We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team.

The Accounting Clerk role helps to keep the company within budget and on schedule with its jobs and projects. Experience, while preferred, is not necessary for this role – we will train the right person!

Compensation and benefits:

• $20-$25/hour
• Including holidays, 25 paid days off per year.
• Health Insurance is provided for the emplyee at no cost to them.
• Matching 401k
• Remote work for 2 days a week after training is complete. (at least 2 months)

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with our in-house sales representatives and production crews weekly to review progress of current jobs
• Tracking expenses for current jobs
• Entering payments
• Creating invoices
• Closing out jobs once complete
• Creating monthly reports for each of our in-house production crews
• Preparing deposits
• Other accounting functions & administrative duties as needed

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Work experience in a similar role and/or basic knowledge of accounting and financial principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM platform
• Experience with Sage Intacct or other accounting software is a plus
• Works equally well independently and on a team
• Basic mathematical skills
• Ability to perform higher-level functions, such as processing invoices, preparing reports, data entry, scanning documents, and any other tasks that contribute to the function of the accounting department
• Bilingual (Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
