About the Office of Community Use of Public Facilities (CUPF)
We work with community groups and individuals to plan for, and issue permits for, use of space for events and programs in public schools, ball fields, libraries, Silver Spring Civic Building, and other government facilities located in the County. In addition, we also work with schools to assist them in selecting a licensed childcare provider for their students.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
CUPF is seeking an Office Services Coordinator . The Office Services Coordinator (OSC) will be responsible for intake of building use application forms and payments received in the Rockville Office. The OSC will scan and log in all forms and checks, safeguard checks and credit card information. The OSC will apply payments, reconcile customer account credits applied with the daily general ledger reports, as well as prepare and make bank deposits. This position will notify customers of past due account status and assist with collection. As needed the OSC will respond to customer inquiries and prepare account summaries or reports. Additional responsibilities include serving as the back-up to the reception desk, assist customers with check-in during new user training and assist other OSC on the CUPF Finance Team with accounts payable and setting up new customer accounts.

- You have should have good organizational skills.
- You are able to prioritize and accomplish assignments/tasks on schedule.
- You work independently to resolve issues as well as work effectively in a team environment.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experienced using Microsoft Word and Excel
To ensure a positive workplace and to comply with federal, state and County laws, the incumbent is responsible for completing mandatory trainings within the first three to six months or within the specified timeframe.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience : Four (4) years of administrative aide/office support experience.
Education : Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland.
Equivalency : An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria
The applications of those individuals meeting the minimum qualifications will be reviewed to determine the extent, relevancy of training, and experience in the following areas
- Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications such as Oracle
- Processing and reconciling accounts receivable transactions
- Reconciling and making bank deposits
- Experience providing direct customer service and program support.
