An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Moorfields Private Division for an Admissions Clerk. Moorfields is the London-based private division of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This role plays a key part in our patient journey, supporting to ensure we deliver customer service to our patients which compliments the provision of high quality private eye care services.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD

This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.

During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed. The probationary period may be extended

Or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy. For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.

As an Admissions Clerk, your key role is to provide an effective and efficient booking service within the Private Patients department.

You will be the first point of contact for Consultant teams and patients who have queries about their admission for surgery. You will work closely with the Practice Managers and the clinical team, and it is important that you are knowledgeable, courteous and professional in your dealings with patients, Consultants and other staff teams.

We are looking to recruit a candidate with good IT skills, who is enthusiastic, friendly, polite and caring – and who wants to learn. You should enjoy being organized and busy!

Attention to detail and being able to prioritise your own workload is key.
