What You’ll Do
Our Closers play a critical role in the loan approval process. You’ll be responsible for the preparation of closing instructions and performing company procedures required to close and fund residential mortgage loans in accordance with company and investor policies and requirements. We’ll rely on you to interact routinely with loan originators and company staff involved in the loan pipeline. Additionally, you’ll schedule loan closings, prepare any closing documents in preparation for the loan closing. Meeting crucial deadlines is key for our closers! Our service-oriented attitudes make the home financing process what it should be – an exciting and rewarding experience.
Responsibilities
- Review approved mortgage loan to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing to ensure that all prior to closing conditions have been cleared by an authorized employee.
- Meet critical deadlines
- Verifies accuracy and consistency of specification on documents to ensure adherence to government, company, and investor guidelines.
- Communicate with the necessary parties to ensure timely scheduling of the loan closing. Contact borrowers to request specified documents, as necessary.
- Assemble loan closing documents in preparation for the ing meeting. Organize and schedule loan closing meetings with appropriate parties.
- Compile closed loan package for delivery to Post Closing/Secondary Marketing for sale to investors
Qualifications
- 2- 4-year college curriculum preferred, or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that will challenge you
- Experience working in the mortgage banking industry, familiarity with Conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage Products
- Knowledge of Encompass or equivalent to include basic computer skills
- Ability to solve practical problems and navigate through a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
