Who We Are Looking For:

Motoinsight is looking for a senior sales professional to lead our dynamic sales team and help grow our Canadian business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the team to achieve the organization’s sales and profitability objectives in the dealer channel. This role will focus on identifying new growth opportunities and building sustainable customer pipeline while anticipating changing market trends and conditions.

The Sales Director will build and coach the team of account executives to identify and generate new sales opportunities, negotiate, and close the sale of our digital retailing platform, MotoCommerce, to car dealerships to help them deliver superior car-buying experiences that seamlessly connect online with in-store.

We are searching for a strong leader and experienced mentor who will guide and support the sales team as well as connect with prospect customers and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Develop Dealer channel sales strategy and tactics, implement sales campaigns and plans to meet overall sales objectives
• Anticipate general economic and industry specific trends to adjust the sales approach to market, and meet changing customer demands
• Collaborate effectively with Marketing and Dealer Success teams to maximize sales and marketing effectiveness and align on the product value proposition for successful customer acquisition and retention
• Develop high quality sales projections and manage sales outlook in the constantly changing environment
• Manage and coach the team of sales account executives, support their professional development and growth
• Maintain involvement with customers (dealers and dealer groups) to stay connected to the market through regular participation in customer meetings and building strategic relationships with key accounts
• Optimize financial performance by focusing on high growth and revenue opportunities, while effectively maintaining cost budgets
• Collaborate with other businesses within the Autotrader portfolio, share and adopt best practices for the overall business growth
• Communicate and promote Motoinsight culture by exemplifying core values

Your skills & experience:

• Degree in Marketing, Commerce or Business Administration.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales including 3 years in sales team management
• Strong knowledge of current and anticipated market and dealer software trends
• Previous experience in the automotive industry, including retail and/or OEM experience
• Relevant experience in software is an asset (SaaS and/or start-up sales)
• Experience with CRM (Salesforce) and sales engagement systems (Outreach)
• Demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and meet that need with a successful product sale
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Coachability and humility combined with the confidence to share your own ideas
• Willingness to go the extra mile when needed
• French is preferred but not required

• Office & working from home
• Travel outside city/province may be required
