Mt Cheeseman Looking for Ski Instructor at Christchurch, Canterbury Full Time

Just over an hours drive from Christchurch, Cheeseman offers a friendly, fun, family, accessible, alpine experience to its customers. We are a smaller ski area which operates all regular aspects of a commercial ski area operation and we also own and operate two accommodation lodges. We have a strong contingent of returning staff that work well as a team and look forward to working with additional new team members. Working in a small team demands flexibility, a willingness to help out to cover others days off and especially when things get busy!

We require the services of 1 further Ski instructor to join our small and very personable ski school team for the 2022 season. You will find yourself teaching a huge variety of clients of all levels, meeting many new faces / friends during your time as an instructor at Cheeseman. The Ski School also helps out with a wide variety of other tasks around the ski area depending on your skills, but you must not be shy of picking up a shovel to help clear the decks along with many other tasks – you’ll take away from your experience what you put in! Applicants must have NZSIA Stage 1 one as minimum requirement (but preferably level 2) and minimum 1 seasons experience teaching / instructing within the ski industry. We can assist appropriately skilled applicants with securing working holiday or New Zealand Work Visa
