MURRAY CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT Hiring for Cook I at MURRAY, Utah Full Time

Responsibilities: Perform a variety of working level skilled duties related to the day to day preparation and delivery of school food service and child nutrition program; may be assigned to a specific preparation phase or rotate between stations including main dish, dessert, baking, lunch, etc.; utilizes standardized recipes requiring cooking from scratch and/or pre-cooked commodities, portions, recipe contents according to recipe instructions; operates various types of commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, graters, choppers, steam pots, ovens, etc., as needed to prepare, cook and serve meals; washes dishes and equipment and assists in work area clean up; may set up computer for daily use; accept money for food and beverage service; controls food line activity to assure orderly and efficient meal service; monitors student food selection to assure the delivery of balanced meal as required by food service regulations; works under the general supervision of school principal and the Kitchen Manager or Kitchen Lead. Minimum Requirements: HS Graduate/equivalent and six months experience in institutional, restaurant, or home cooking. Part-time hourly position – 27 hours per week
