Myticas is looking for an experienced 5+ year veteran WordPress Developer to join our dynamic Engineering team! As a WordPress Developer for this industry-leading client of ours you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development. The position works with WordPress themes and plugins. We need someone to help us write durable, extensible, and secure code.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implementing new solution features and functionality for our eCommerce site
• The work involves enhancements and maintenance of existing pages, forms and API integrations, payment integrations (PayPal and CyberSource), plus general site monitoring and potential upgrades of key system components (including WordPress Core, PHP and WooCommerce).

Qualifications:

• 3+years of experience with WordPress development (front-end and back-end) with 2+years of PHP
• Demonstrated experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
• Adept ability to understand CSS changes ensuring consistent style across platforms and powsers
• Need experience implementing WordPress Gutenberg block editor
• Solid understanding of front-end frameworks such as React and Angular
• Demonstrated experience using SCSS and LESS preprocessors
• Knowledge and working experience with PHP back end development
• Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and formats such as JSON and XML with sound knowledge of MySQL
• Command line experience with task runners like Gulp and Grunt
