Job Responsibilities:
Software developer reporting to the R&D Team Lead and working collaboratively with the ADL team, with responsibilities to include:

Build containerized application tools following the 12 Factor App methodology, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts, and Extreme Programming (XP).

Develop products as part of a balanced Agile development team to include Product Manager, Product Owner, engineers, and scientists and drive technical feasibility for the product backlog.

Design and develop using tools including MOAN, LAMP, Django, REST, SOAP design and development. Microservices Architecture.

Full-stack JavaScript/Python/Java/C development.

Front-end and back-end development.
-
Database design and programming.
-
Manage third-party cloud computing platforms, including architectural design, access controls, cost-effective usage monitoring; cloud security (e.g., hardening, authentication, authorization).

Collaboratively develop and maintain software (e.g., via GitHub), develop software technical documentation and user guides, and, find and fix software bugs.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Minimum two (2) years’ experiences as a Full-Stack Developer.
-
Experience with MOAN, LAMP, Django, REST, SOAP design and development.

Experience with Microservices Architecture.
-
Experience in full-stack JavaScript/Python/Java/C development.
-
Experience in front-end development (e.g., React, Angular, HTML, HTML5, JS, CSS, SASS, etc…).

Experience in back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Django/Flask, SpringBoot, etc…).
-
Experience in database design and programming (mySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc…).
-
Able to manage third-party cloud computing platforms, including architectural design, access controls, cost-effective usage monitoring; cloud security (e.g., hardening, authentication, authorization).

Able to use distributed learning specifications (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, Dublin Core) and familiarity with virtualization software and virtualized server implementations.

Able to collaboratively develop and maintain software (e.g., via GitHub), develop software technical documentation and user guides, find, and fix software bugs, and have familiarity with standard web security (e.g., SSL certificates, OAuth).

Able to pick up and learn new languages and frameworks.
-
Can work in a pair programming environment.
-
Knowledgeable about building and maintaining a product’s CI/CD pipeline.

Adopts industry best practices, with a security first mindset and understands DevSecOps principles.

Fluent in English and enhanced skills in written and oral communication.

U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a a DoD Clearance.

Secret security clearance .
Education:
- Requires an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Programming, Software Development, Engineering or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in technical area is desired.
Travel:
- Office environment but some travel (15%) may be required.
