As the Emergency Management Officer, you will coordinate and implement emergency management strategies and plans within the Napier City Council. You will be responsible for overseeing the development, review, and maintenance of emergency management plans, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating emergency preparedness and response activities.
This role supports the planning and delivery of Civil Defence Emergency Management Group (CDEM Group) services at a local level, and works in partnership with the CDEM Group and our iwi/mana whenua partners to provide integrated and coordinated emergency response activities and services to the Napier community.

Requirements
A CIMS qualification and operational experience within an emergency event would be an added advantage.
