Job Summary:
Provides indirect patient care in the Emergency Department.
Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of individuals who present for hospital emergency services and admission of inpatients.
Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database.
Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
Minimum Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
