Job Summary:

• Provides indirect patient care in the Cardiac Rehab Department.
• Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of individuals who present for hospital emergency services and admission of inpatients.
• Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures.
• Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database.
• Schedules patients for the department.
• Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff.
• Implements directions from physicians and nursing staff.
• Insurance communication including authorizations.

Minimum Education:

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Experience with Insurance Authorizations
