National Stem Cell Foundation. Hiring for JR Videographer/Editor at Remote Full Time

You will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished music videos, vlogs, and cartoon clips. To ensure success as a video editor, you should have the expert knowledge of modern video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule while meeting deadlines. This person will be capable of hearing the rough description of what’s needed on a project and get it closer to the finish line.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Editing videos for short films and commercials in the industry
  • Working knowledge of color grading, sound design and mix and other post processes
  • Knowledge of audio/video production
  • Meeting deadlines daily/weekly
  • Reviewing footage and audio and deciding on the most effective way to tell a story
  • Incorporating special effects, graphics, sound and other elements to enhance the final product
  • Collaborating with the Director, Cinematographer, and other team members to ensure a consistent look and feel of the finished product
  • Exporting and delivering the final product in the desired format for broadcasting or distribution. Must be able to export

Job Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience working in post production as a video editor
  • Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
  • Passionate about video editing
  • Bachelor’s degree – in media, film, relevant subjects preferred
  • Ability to take and follow direction, while also suggesting creative and technical solutions
  • Ability to edit remotely with Director, Producer, Client via Zoom, Google Meet, FaceTime.
  • Extremely organized and communicative and able to juggle many projects at once.
  • Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio to showcase your work
  • Knowledge of sound design and audio post-production techniques
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of video production and post-production processes
