Medical Office Receptionist

Hours: M-F (30-35 hrs/week ) with possible additional fill-in as vacation/illness relief for staff during the week.

Medical practice with holistic healthcare providers, looking for a qualified candidate to join our team.

Duties:

Answering and responding incoming telephone calls and messages.

Check in/check out of patients. Collecting fees for services rendered.

Schedule patient appointments using an electronic health record, acquire and enter accurate patient demographic and health insurance information. Cashier for vitamin and medical supplement sales.

Other various tasks in fast-paced office: Ability to multitask while gracefully handling multiple demands is an absolute necessity. Strong familiarity with Windows-based computers is required. Understanding of healthcare insurance is a plus, with an interest in integrative and alternative medicine preferred.

The right candidate must have: Strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong multi-tasking skills with superb attention to detail, common sense, an enjoyment for a fast-paced environment, a good attendance record, a strong work ethic, prioritization/organization abilities, and enjoy working in a team environment.
