Summary You will serve as a Engineering Technician in the Naval Facilities Engineering Command of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC, Oceana, VA. The salary range for positions filled at the GS-10 is $60,774 to $79,009. The salary range for positions filled at the GS-11 is $66,773 to $86,000. Responsibilities You will prepare contract documents (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, etc.) for CAT 3/4 construction and maintenance contracts. You will prepare task orders for CAT 3/4 contraction and maintenance indefinite quantity contracts. You will prepare detailed material and labor estimates using estimating handbooks and/or engineering performance standards for CAT 3/4 construction and maintenance contracts and modifications. You will participate in acquisition planning conferences with contract administrators, contract specialists and customer activities on complex jobs to advise customers of scope of work and conditions under which work will have to be performed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GS-11 LEVEL: Your resume must demonstrate at least One year of specialized experience at the GS-10 grade level or next lower pay band in the Federal sector or equivalent experience in the public or private sector performing the following duties: 1) Collecting data pertaining to the scope of work to determine the amount and type of labor and material required. 2) Performing a wide range of performance assessment and monitoring duties in support of facilities service contracts and the Performance Work Statement. 3) Prepares Technical Contract documents (i.e. drawings, specifications, cost estimates) for CAT 3/4 construction and maintenance contracts, and to include Indefinite Quantity Work Statements for Private Contractors. and 4) Preparing Task Orders, Facilities Service Expert (FSE) Boss Templates, Contract Modifications, Task Order Modifications and, Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Call Modifications for Facilities Service Center (FSC) construction and service indefinite delivery contracts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GS-10 LEVEL: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or next lower pay band in the Federal sector or equivalent experience in the public or private sector performing the following duties: 1) Assisting higher graded technicians in collecting data pertaining to the scope of work to determine the amount and type of labor and material required. 2) Assisting in performing a wide range of performance assessment and monitoring duties in support of facilities service contracts and the Performance Work Statement. 3) Assisting in preparing of Technical Contract documents (i.e. drawings, specifications, cost estimates) for CAT 3/4 construction and maintenance contracts, and to include Indefinite Quantity Work Statements for Private Contractors. and 4) Assisting in Preparing Task Orders for CAT 3/4 construction and maintenance indefinite contracts.
