Are you an enthusiastic gardener looking for ad hoc work?

Nelmac Kūmānu has opportunities for Gardeners on a casual basis to assist their Horticulturist teams in maintaining Nelson’s parks and gardens, enhancing the environment and contributing to the beauty of the region.

It’s an active, rewarding and varied role involving the full range of gardening duties including border maintenance, planting, mulching, weed control and herbicide spraying.

Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for outdoor enthusiasts who:
Have hands-on experience in garden maintenance
Can operate motorised gardening tools – leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, weed eaters and edging tools
Have a keen eye for detail and sound time management
Are physically fit and able to work outside in all weather conditions
Have a can-do attitude with the ability to get on with others, and a super friendly outlook
