This position will support a variety of back-office processing, quality control, and data reporting process in the day-to-day operations of the community solar business while acting as a subject matter expert across operational processes. Additionally, this role will be key in the growth, development, and implementation of new processes as the business continues to grow and expand across the country.
The Community Solar Specialist has a knack for collaboration and will collaborate and communicate internally across various teams, as well as externally with sales vendors, utility companies, and clients. They will have high attention to detail and top-notch organizational skills leveraged in their responsibility for managing and executing key processes for each community solar farm and their customers.
Responsibilities will also involve back-office transactional processing, resource and procedure development, various special projects, and data reporting and management using Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate for this position is an expert at time management, a process-driven problem solver, and a team-focused collaborator – all while remaining flexible and nimble in an ever-changing and fast-paced, growing environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete key processes across the acquisition of new community solar customers and management of current customer enrollments
Contribute to continuous process improvement as the business continues to grow and expand across new markets bringing new operational process and responsibility
Identify trends and issues and independently seek resolution or escalation to the appropriate team or member of leadership
Execute various quality control processes and data reporting to maintain high level of accuracy across enrollment data while remaining compliant with federal, state, program, and internal policy
Build, submit, and manage utility allocations to each utility company for each project within tight deadlines to ensure accurate credit transfers and project subscription
Analyze monthly utility host reporting for each project for potential error and complete monthly production reconciliation
Assist in the build of data necessary and execute monthly statement or invoice generation for each project
Maintain operational workflows and backlog(s) while providing progress updates daily as needed
Assist in documenting key processes clearly and concisely for scalability
Manage multiple conflicting priorities & consistently meet deadlines
Act as the lead and assist on various special projects as needed
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
6 months to 1 year customer service or operations work experience preferred
Experience with the Microsoft Suite of tools including Microsoft Excel
Proven track record of high performance and goal achievement
Experience collaborating cross functionally to execute on objectives

Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Excel in managing data
Skilled in critical thinking, problem solving, and developing a plan for resolution independently

Skilled in procedural documentation and the development of effective resources to be utilized across a wide audience
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills while displaying a high energy level and positive attitude
Self-motivated and action-driven with the ability to work independently to execute and follow through
Have a willingness to expand the role and find ways to support the team even when it is outside your role and responsibilities
