Neptune Pacific Direct Line (NPDL) is experiencing a period of significant transformation. Formed in 2020, Neptune Pacific Line acquired Pacific Direct Line, bringing together two of the South Pacific’s top shipping and logistics companies to support the full supply chain of our customers in the region. NPDL is part of The Wonderful Company headquartered in the USA (including Fiji Water).
NPDL operates 9 containerships, moving +240k TEU between AU, NZ and the Pacific Islands, as well as the USA. We have strong partnerships with other shipping line, moving cargo across 25 customer destinations in 16 countries.
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and results driven Equipment Manager to join our team in Auckland. Reporting to the Group Equipment Manager, this role carries significant responsibility for achieving outstanding operational performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement Your leadership will be instrumental in the development of the Fiji Equipment team, ensuring effective management of equipment and operational processes for NPDL and NPDL Agency customer containers. With your expertise, you will play a crucial role in improving the performance of Pacific Island (PI) agents in Equipment operations.
In this role, you will focus on enhancing data and reporting accuracy to facilitate improved forward planning processes. Customer satisfaction is paramount, and you will diligently work to meet their equipment needs by coordinating supply with internal and external stakeholders. To achieve this, you will implement robust systems to measure and enhance service levels for key customers. As an advocate of continuous improvement, you will actively identify and eliminate waste and process gaps to instil a culture of excellence within the team. Additionally, you will drive cost leadership by establishing proper controls and management systems, minimizing expenses, and maximizing recoveries.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland, requiring regular travel to the Pacific islands. In return we offer a challenging and stimulating environment.
