Position Summary

Reporting to the Business Executive Officer for Nestlé Purina NZ, you’ll be responsible for shaping and deploying our Category led approach internally and within our customers.

Shaping the future of our pet care strategy, deploying it with our key trading partners, leading the rollout of category-based shopper marketing campaigns or steering our Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process are amongst the exciting responsibilities of this role.

A day in the life…

Eager to drive customer engagement and form collaborative and dynamic partnerships, your key responsibilities will include:

• Drive the commercialisation and execution of the category strategy
• Manage the Integrated commercial planning process across the business
• Understand shopping behaviour and convert into winning campaigns
• Deliver execution of channel and category strategy at the point of purchase
• Manage and align Generating Demand Activity plans across customers and channels
• Support effective working relationships with key customers/distributors
• Successfully manage and develop the Category Development team.

What will make you successful?

• Minimum 7- 8 years of professional experience in commercial roles, ideally within the Petcare or FMCG industry, although industry-specific experience is not mandatory.
• Previous experience in Marketing & Sales
• Experience in similar Market/Channel/Category Development Manager role, where you’ll be looking for your next opportunity to excel and thrive in a fast-paced and energised work environment.
• Minimum 3 years of People management experience. Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities, along with a digital aptitude and bent.
• Building effective, collaborative, and value-add relationships internally and externally will be a real strength of yours
• Drive for exceeding customer expectations and delivering on results.
• A high-level understanding of the commercial planning process, involvement in the successful execution of sales plans, and experience with data analytics is also a must.
