The Member-Product Data Science team is a high-profile area of the Product Data Science and Engineering team. It is at the forefront of the innovations that drive member engagement with Netflix. The team surfaces insights; is foundational for rigorous decision making; and invests in strategic research that deepens our understanding of members. This work is done in close partnership with not only product management, design, and engineering but also other teams within the Data and Insights function.
As a strong business and technical leader, you will inspire and lead a senior team; work closely with other directors in product management, design, and engineering; and be a trusted, equal partner to our business stakeholders in shaping our product strategy. You will also be a high-profile leader and role model within, not only, the Product Data Science & Engineering team but also the Data & Insights team as a whole.
We are looking for someone who has:
Outstanding problem framing, strategic thinking, and communication skills. You are adept at surfacing insights to a variety of stakeholders
A broad technical background that spans multiple areas such as data products, experimentation, advanced metrics, statistics, machine learning, and causal methods
Worked with product, design, and engineering as an equal partner and is adept at translating business problem spaces to priorities and learning agenda for the team
Experience hiring, developing, and retaining a high-performing, talent dense, and diverse team (both ICs and people managers)
Experience thinking through organizational strategy and establishing stable scopes of teams
