Accounting Clerk responsibilities:
- In charge of Accounts receivables, which includes depositing checks, recording payments made by our customers via wires/ ACH/checks.
- Maintain and handle inquiries made by customers and direct them to the appropriate administrators.
- Assist with the monthly billing to customers.
- Perform basic office tasks, including answering the Accounting line, responding to emails, processing mail, filing etc.
- Maintain Customer records in Great Plains.
- Processing debits and credits in the systems as needed and reconciling Customer Accounts.
- Updating ledgers, researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles.
- Responding appropriately to all customers and internal requests.
- Enter wires in JP Morgan Access for various departments including Accounting.
- Assist with Audits and providing support as needed for the sample request.
- Ad Hoc projects
- Helps to ensure the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Recent college graduate in Accounting or field or similar
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information.
- High level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Courteous, professional manner, strong customer service skills.
- Computer literacy, experience with accounting software.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge with Great Plains a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office, especially excel and able to use vlookups, pivot tables etc.
