DESIRED OUTCOMES/STATEMENT OF WORK:
The New Orleans Film Society is seeking an experienced Virtual Film Festival Revisionist who can effectively revise 100+ hours of filmmaker content of differing length ranging from 30 seconds to 75+ minutes in addition to revising 60+ hours of NOFF produced content. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and be able to spot any efforts that would adversely affect the patron experience. This includes any sort of video processing errors, audio sync problems, and errors with accessibility features such as mistimed captions.

The 2021 Virtual Festival Revisionist reports to NOFF Technical Director.

Timeline for Contract dates:
Sept 15th – Nov 23, 2021

Scope of Work:
Revises all content on Eventive streaming platform including filmmaker content and NOFF created content.

Reports any and all errors to the Technical Director. This also includes any accessibility features such as captions and audio descriptions.

Checks all virtual festival VOD (video on demand) playlists for pre-show content and correct short and feature content.

Works with studio security representatives to ensure file safety on the virtual platform.

Assists Tech Director, Box Office, and Communication teams in assessing and preparing a fact and instructional sheet for customers to stream NOFF content on all possible platforms and devices and supports Customer Service Assistant in troubleshooting.

Lead QA Tester for the Eventive App on all devices + platforms.

Offer technical support during the festival to the box office teams fielding any patron issues with the virtual platform.

Skills, Experience + Qualifications :
A keen eye for detail: film post-production experience is a plus

Be able to stay on track and work consistently as soon as content is uploaded

Familiarity with virtual festival platforms is a plus

Strong communication skills with an ability to describe any errors.

Ability to work as part of a team in a deadline pressurized environment.
