New Park Primary Academy, part of Northern Star Academies Trust, are seeking to recruit a Class Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover of three months from 31st October 2022.
New Park Primary is on an exciting journey. Our KS2 results show us to be the fastest improving school in North Yorkshire and we were graded “Good” in all areas by Ofsted in September 2018. We’re a small and dedicated team, committed to giving our children the best possible start to their education, encouraging and nurturing their interests, and preparing them for high school and beyond. Our English curriculum is built on Novel Study, choosing ambitious texts and reading and analysing them in great depth, teasing out the nuances in characterisation, plot, setting and authorial intent. We plan collaboratively and creatively, spending time studying texts through drama and exploration. We have delightful children, beautiful refurbished Victorian buildings and classrooms, a school farm and even a small museum! We are committed to our families and local residents and recently opened Harrogate’s first community grocery in our community hub.
We are proud to be a part of Northern Star Academies Trust and make the most of the links we have with our brilliant partner schools. Follow us on Twitter (@NewParkPri) to find out more about who we are and what we do.
You will be a creative and enthusiastic teacher, with a passion for primary education and child development. If you want to make a difference and are committed to improving life chances for children, we would love to meet you and show you around our fantastic school.
We will be holding guided tours of the school on Thursday 29th September at 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Please contact the school office on 01423 503 011 to book a place.

Please note CVs will not be accepted.
