Working at Ara Poutama Aotearoa, Department of Corrections is exciting and full of opportunity. Our Electronic Monitoring Centre is based in Upper Hutt, Wellington, we are responsible for providing electronic monitoring services for individuals, who might be on bail or subject to a community-based sentence throughout New Zealand, we have sites across Aotearoa. Our role is to electronically monitor each and every offender, to ensure they are adhering to their order or sentence.

About the role

As Administrator, you will be supporting the management team to ensure the smooth functioning of the centre. It’s a varied and busy role, where no two days are the same, on any given day you could be:

• Supporting accounts input, purchase orders etc
• Managing travel bookings
• Preparing presentation material
• Helping with recruitment
• Arranging meetings
• Organising events
• Arranging travel bookings

This is a busy role, we want you to be successful. To ensure your success we would look to you to demonstrate some or all of the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Previous experience in an administration role
• Some basic accounts experience; creditors, purchase order processing etc.
• Great problem solving, judgement and the ability to unpick situations
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong computer literacy and ability to multi-task
• A great team-player
• Some event management experience would be a bonus

Utu ā-tau | Salary

• The salary for this role is $52,367 – $58,938
