About the service:
Quality & Patient Safety is focused on ensuring our patients / clients / service users are safe and that they receive the best possible care and treatment. The Consumer Engagement Team sits within Quality & Patient Safety, capturing all forms of consumer feedback by engaging and listening to experiences and data, and using this information to support quality improvement.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to carry out day-to-day administration duties for the Quality & Patient Safety team. This is a permanent full time position and reports to the Consumer Engagement Manager.
This position will undertake a variety of tasks including but not limited to, data entry, support for the Waikato DHB Consumer Council, invoicing, organisation of workshops and meetings, processing stationery orders, and minute taking. You will also be required to provide cover for complaints administration from time to time. There will be a lot of flexibility in this role to get involved and support the work of the various teams within Quality & Patient Safety, while maintaining a small portfolio of core responsibilities.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have competent computer and literacy skills, be calm under pressure, be able to prioritise and meet deadlines, have good communication skills & administration experience. Being comfortable communicating with our consumers by phone is important. It would be advantageous if you have this experience within the health setting. Some knowledge and understanding of tikanga is welcome as Waikato DHB promotes kaupapa ways of working. You must be an adaptable person with a willingness to embrace the requests from the team.
