New Zealand Government Looking for Outer Island Support Officer – Great Barrier Island at Auckland City, Auckland Full Time

This is a Fixed Term/Contractor position required to provide service to Fire and Emergency NZ for approximately 12 months (20 hours per week)Who are we: Fire and Emergency New Zealand is a Crown Entity established on 1 July 2017 under the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. • Operational and administrative support including monitoring operational readiness
• Hazard Assessment
• Fire Permitting
• Fire risk management initiatives and recruitment activities
• The role out of initiatives, projects and equipment
• Coordinating repair and maintenance of equipment
• Ensuring health and safety is paramount

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Effective communication, excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Communication skills, both written and oral
• Competent in the use of MS Office and other IT systems
• Full drivers licence essential – Heavy vehicle duty licence a bonus

The salary range for this role is $75,159 – $83,510.
