About the role
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is seeking a Project Officer to join our Wellington-based Operations and Logistics team, which works alongside Ngā Poutoko Aromatawai Māori business unit (NPAM). We enable Mātauranga Māori, Pasifika and generic skills and knowledge to be recognised and credentialed, and maintain University Entrance. NPAM is also responsible for the development of materials and associated activities supporting the external assessment of kaupapa mātauranga Māori (New Zealand Curriculum and Te Marautanga o Aotearoa).
You will be involved in projects supporting the development, maintenance, and implementation of unit standards and nationally recognised qualifications, University Entrance and kaupapa mātauranga Māori.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter who is reliable, flexible, and recognises when to take action to reduce demands on others. You will be experienced in using the Microsoft suite of applications, including Share Point, and project management systems. You will be organised, methodical, good at prioritising your work, and have strong people skills.

- provide web design and editing skills
- develop and review business processes and systems
- maintain outstanding client relationships through your excellent oral and written communication skills
An ability to work within te ao Māori is an advantage.
