New Zealand Government Looking for WellKiwis Delivery Drivers at Wellington City, Wellington Full Time

Mō te tūnga | The role

We are looking for Delivery Drivers to provide logistical support to the WellKiwis study. You will be responsible for the pickup and drop off of items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules in the Wellington region (excluding Kapiti Coast).

In this role you will be involved in the following:

• The drop off and collection of sample kits to residential addresses
• The collection of samples from any of the six participating Wellington SCL (WSCL) specimen collection centres or participating General Practices
• Returning collected samples to ESR’s Wallaceville Science Centre in Upper Hutt for testing.

Please note: We are looking for people who are able to commit to a flexible fixed-term position for three months, working a minimum of 8 hours per week up to a maximum of 30 hours per week.

Mileage reimbursements + a motor vehicle allowance at the current IRD rate will be paid in addition to a commensurate hourly rate.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Own car with current registration and Warrant of Fitness – mileage reimbursements provided.
• Full and valid New Zealand driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• Highly organised and good time management skills
• Task oriented and able to meet deadlines
• A willingness to work as a member of a team, supportive of other team members and focused on achieving team objectives
• Effective self-management, ability to work autonomously
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
