Library Assistant – Judicial Libraries, Auckland

A vacancy has arisen within the Judicial Libraries team. The Library Assistant position is a permanent part-time position of minimum 20 hours per week, based at the Auckland District Court.
Library assistants provide direct support to Judicial Libraries staff delivering efficient and cost-effective library and information services to the judiciary and the Ministry. The primary focus of this role is assisting the Court Librarian to support the judges, judicial support staff, and court staff in the central Auckland.

Judicial Libraries provides high quality library and information services to support judicial decision making and the operation of the courts. You will play an integral part in ensuring Judicial Libraries meets the information needs of the judiciary, now and in the future.
Previous experience as a law library assistant would be desirable, as would current study toward a law degree or library qualification.

Salary Range: The remuneration band for this role is $48,184 to $56,136 – while the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience, we are willing to pay higher in the band to attract strong candidates into this role.
