Regulatory Services Supervisor
About the role
Te Tari Pūreke – Firearms Safety Authority are responsible for overseeing lawful firearms possession in New Zealand. We implement the firearms licencing system, manage the firearms registry, and educate people to enable compliance and promote the safe use of firearms.
Our purpose is to effectively regulate the legitimate possession and use of firearms to keep all communities safe.
The Compliance and Resolutions teams take every opportunity to prevent harm by working with partner agencies, the firearms community, and other Policing groups to educate and enable compliance with the Arms Act 1983 and Arms Regulations 1992 and enforce when required. To support this, the Regulatory Services Supervisor within the Firearms Resolutions Team will provide leadership and management of regulatory compliance and resolutions and deliver a high-quality service the public deserve and expect.
Your leadership will build a culture of high performance which results in teams that are inclusive, innovative, agile, and passionate in meeting Te Tari Pūreke’s outcomes.
The role is based in Kapiti. The role is a rotational supervisory position to meet the needs of Te Tari Pūreke and your own development.
