About the role
As part of Service Group’s Northern Region, the Waikato FM&T (File Management and Transcription) services team is looking for an engaged and motivated individual to assist in the delivery of exceptional case management and service delivery.
To meet the demands of the role, an ability to manage your time in this fast paced and deadline driven environment is essential. You will be highly motivated and a professional team player who can manage handling sensitive material.
This is a shift position reporting to the teams Transcription Supervisor, where your primary focus will be in support of both frontline staff and victims.
Key Accountabilities:
- Operational Practice – Ability to transcribe accurately from DVDs, audio recordings and copy typing
- Communication – Communicate effectively using exceptional written and oral communication skills, including grammar and spelling.
- Planning and Prioritising – Having the skills to manage your time, priorities and workload to meet critical deadlines.
- Individually responsible and accountable – Ability to work together as a member of a high preforming team and take responsibility for your own performance and contribution.
- Resilience – Capable of processing work that is complex, graphic, sensitive, or covert in nature. Open to change in an exciting and evolving workstream.
- United – Ability to have honest and open communication with your team and leader to ensure timeframes are met.
- Professionalism – Taking pride in representing Police and making a difference in the communities we serve.
Additional Information:
- A minimum typing speed of 70 words per minute
- Audio transcription experience is preferred but not essential
- Shift Work Schedule – 3 Earlies / 3 Lates / 3 RDO’s (rostered days off), as part of a team providing coverage between 6:00am to 10:00pm 7 days a week
- Successful candidate must live within commutable distance to Hamilton
- Successful applicant is required to undergo Police Vetting, Drug and Alcohol clearance, and Reference Checks
