NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, located in Flushing, New York, is a community teaching hospital affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, serving Queens and metro New York residents.

The 535-bed tertiary care facility provides services in 14 clinical departments and numerous subspecialties. Annually, 15,000 surgeries and 4,000 infant deliveries are performed at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Opportunity to join our team. Emergency Department Registrars perform a variety of duties to disseminate information, process patient’s registrations in adherence with hospital and governmental regulations.

This is a full time Monday-Friday position- including some holidays and every other weekend required. Located at NYP-Queens Hospital 56-45 Main St, Queens, NY 11355.

Required Criteria:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• Experience in clerical skills, solid knowledge of navigating PC based operations.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers.
• Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience working in a hospital, practice or healthcare setting processing patient information.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• EPIC
