NexGen Technologies, Inc. is looking for an Oracle Application Express(APEX) Developer to develop and maintain APEX-based software applications.The work includes eliciting and capturing business requirements, designingand implementing efficient and effective solutions using APEX tool suite.Troubleshooting, maintaining and modernizing existing applications.Communicating effectively with the NexGen and client’s project leadershipand other staff. The ideal candidate shall have proven track record inapplication developing using (recent) GA versions of Oracle APEX. Must beproficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Must have demonstrable experience withdatabases, DML and DDL. This individual will be required to work closelywith NexGen’s, its client’s and/or any third-party staff, includingsubject matter and technical experts, project managers, etc. Other dutiesmay bEssential capabilities and qualifications include:Strong background in Oracle Apex development.Demonstrable proficiency with:Oracle 11g/12c databasesPL/SQL packages, functions and stored proceduresJavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, CSS,SOAP based Web ServicesUnderstanding of Oracle application configuration, SQL, PL/SQLpackage/procedure-based programming, database object modeling,performance tuning for custom extensions, data conversions, data reporting and interface development.Support the development and application of best-practices, programstandards and conventions.Ability to analyze and refactor existing code to enhance performance,functionality and maintainability.Familiarity with all aspects of Agile software development life cycle(SDLC) and the ability to support all phases of the SDLC including O&Msupport and disposition.Enthusiasm, positive attitude, superb work ethic, attention to detailand ability to work in on a variety of projects as a team player arenecessaryThis position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills,and time-management skills.Successful candidate must clear a background screenEducation/Experience:5-7 years hands-on experience developing Apex applications.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or arelated scientific or technical degree; or equivalent experienceTechnical Skills/Experience:Experience with Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX)Prior production support and software O&M experience.Additional desired/preferred skills and requirements:Prior experience working in a government setting.US work-authorizationEOEHourly Rate: $50/hour (DOE)EEO Employer
