As the Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving a high performance culture within our development and QA teams. You will provide technical mentoring and guidance to the team ensuring that coding principals and standards are upheld. As a player-coach you will be expected to get involved with coding and developing, working within a scrum team to get a feel for how you can best support and enhance the team. Your success will be measured by a team who are empowered to learn, experiment and expand their critical thinking capability and who follow in your example as to how we do software development and quality assurance at NEXTDC.

This role can be based in Melbourne or Brisbane (hybrid office/WFH)

• Significant IT/Software Development work experience with ability to code in various languages (C#, .NET preferred)
• Experience in cloud-based solution (Azure preferred)
• Previous experience working within an Agile environment
• Demonstrated people manager experience with a proven track record of success in addition to previous experience scaling and managing a dispersed team
• Approachable, curious, critical thinker who works collaboratively at all levels of the organisation
