Ngā Pōtiki ā Tamapahore Trust is looking for suitable candidates to join our team and fill the following positions:
Both positions will provide resource management expertise to support the delivery and effective outcomes of key projects and growth throughout our rohe, while the senior role will have a strong focus on leadership.
Environmental Advisor: On top of your your cultural skill set and experience as an environmental advisor, you will have an understanding of Te ao Māori and tikanga. An understanding of te reo Māori is preferred.
You will be motivated by making a contribution to positive and meaningful change. You will have proven experience in your field and will thrive in a collaborative environment that requires energy and attention across multiple priorities. You will have highly developed problem-solving skills and a natural ability to build genuine and lasting relationships with all.
A relevant qualification, in-depth knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991, a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience with resource management, resource consents, environmental management, policy development and/or plan making, and good project management skills are required.
Senior Environmental Advisor: You will have an extensive cultural skill set and experience as a senior advisor and an understanding of tikanga Māori is essential. Fluency in reo Māori is preferred.

You will have proven experience in your field and will thrive in a collaborative environment that requires focus and energy across multiple priorities. You will have highly developed problem-solving skills and a natural ability to build genuine and lasting relationships with all.
A relevant qualification, in-depth knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991, experience with resource management, resource consents, environmental management, policy development and/or plan-making, and good project management skills are essential.
You will have a demonstrated ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders on multiple projects while maintaining a strong focus and quick turnaround of quality advice and information.
You will also have the proven ability to build influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally.
As a senior professional you will pride yourself on leadership and coaching skills.

This is a permanent, 40-hour-week position based in Pāpāmoa.
