Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As a combined Dietary/Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position, required to perform general kitchen duties and food preparation as well as to complete various housekeeping and laundry duties as directed.
EDUCATION
EXPERIENCE
When performing Dietary Aide duties. – Minimum of six months of related experience and knowledge of kitchen operating procedures and food storage and safekeeping. Ability to read menus. Safety and fire regulation awareness. Must have a clear understanding of Canada’s Food Guide. Must posses the ability to read, write, and communicate in English when performing Dietary Aide duties.
When performing Housekeeping/laundry Aide duties – Minimum of three months experience in a similar setting, and experience in operating and utilizing commercial/institutional equipment and products.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Shift Information
Currently scheduled 8 hours night shifts, may be required to work days, evenings and nights including weekends. Must be willing and able to work up to 24 hours per week and declare availability of 32 hours per week.
