ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Assists with electronic and physical filing of payroll and other accounting records.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Assists with the month-end closing process.
• Provides general accounting support by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepares reports and schedules as needed for audits, tax preparation and other management requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated experience in the finance field through formal education, on-the-job training, or a combination thereof.
• Strong Excel skills (LOOKUP functions, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong grasp of GAAP accounting, accounting controls, and a respect for adherence to ethical and legal standards.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP general ledger system preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing a plus.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.50 – $29.76 per hour
