We are looking for the new Kids Merchandising Associate with a focus in our Nike Direct Marketplace Unit. This role will be responsible for creating and leading our own digital and physical platforms + third party pure players at digital. This person will also be responsible as key stakeholder of the merchandising team to support Mexico´s Kids strategic plan ensuring an end-to-end mindset. The Nike Direct+ Territory Merchant will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally to build the Gender vision in our most important marketplace destination.

This position requires leadership, communication, influencing skills that will allow to implement plans. As an important part of merchandising by creating the marketplace of the future this role needs a innovative mindset that cultivates and embraces the change. Product and consumer understanding, consumer trend knowledge will be key for a positive development of the role. Analytical skills will support and balance the art and the science within this role.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

• Create and lead Kids product strategy for NIKE.COM, NDSS, Mercado Libre

• Create productive and profitable product lines for territory through line management and pricing structure

• Adopt and Edit Nike Inc Edited Offer to best serve needs of Mexico´s market through the lens of the Gender Strategy

• Read & React to consumer trends: Consumer insights, Market Share, Competitors landscape and business understanding. React to the Day-to-Day results with Future Looking assortment decisions

• Own segmentation strategy to serve our consumers at the right place with the right product at the right time.

• Partnering cross-functionally to build assortment frameworks ahead of each season based on assortment opportunities

• Building Assortment Sell In tools to provide Account with critical Product information

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will be an important teammate for the merchandising team working initially and mostly with the Territory Kids Merchandising team extending your communication and interaction with the Nike Headquarters based Kids Merchandising Team. Also you will be part of one team mindset by connecting with Mens and Womens Mexico Merchandising teamates and build together the product assortment for our members at our most important destination: Nike Direct.

Outside of Merchandising, you will be working cross functionally with large and diverse teams, with variety of management styles across de Nike Direct SQUAD, working closely with Planning, Consumer Direct Marketing and Nike Store and Services team. These leaders will become sponsors of your strategy which will later cascade to the rest of the marketplace.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field
• Desirable experience in Product and Merchandising
• Strong strategic thinking vision considering the responsibility of creating strategic plans for both the gender and Nike Direct vision
• Team player skills should be something that stands out within your profile due to the big cross functional partnership for this role
• Strong and solid influencing and communication skills (Spanish and English) that allows you to drive seasonal strategic vision
• Create the future skills thru product insights, understanding how the marketplace is behaving as well as consumer´s demand. Leading activities such as retail tour, trends searching
