WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Business or an equivalent, or two additional years’ experience in lieu of a degree
5-6 years proven experience, preferably in a data and/or process role
Experience coaching and managing teams of 4-6 people preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with MS Excel at an advance level is preferred
Expert in data management techniques and analysis
Strong background in reporting, audits, process improvement
Ability to work in deadline driven environment
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong attention to detail and process orientation
Experience investigating, capturing and maintaining product data in an information management system or complex database is preferred.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a North America (NA) Merchandising Information Specialist (MIS) Manager who enjoys working with data and product in a fast-paced team environment. This role’s primary responsibility is to lead a team of 4-5 individuals who partner with our NA Nike Direct Merchants to manage the Geography & Country (USA & Canada) line plans. These seasonal line plans are used by numerous cross-functional teams within our Geography. Thus, there is a critical need to ensure our systems are up-to-date and accurate at all times. The ideal candidate will have a background in data governance (auditing, reporting, etc.) and/or data stewardship (processes/protocols), a strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver results in a deadline driven environment. We’re also looking for a standout leader with proven mentoring/coaching experience.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you and your team will be working with Nike Merchants (and other cross-functional teammates) to steward the Geography & Country line plan data in MMX for accuracy, timeliness and completeness to support critical events in the process and through its usage in downstream systems. Your team will maintain line plan data in system, including items such as Geo/Country adoption from the Global line plan, adds/drops, wholesale/retail pricing, 1st offer dates, and denoting marketing type and initiative where applicable. Your team will also partner with Merchants on flagging specific products that should be sampled in the Geography. In addition, with your team, you will investigate and maintain core product information through various systems in support of the Merchandising organization. A typical day/week includes partnering with the Nike Direct Merchandising team, aligning on product strategy, providing leadership to your team, responding to multiple emails/requests and attending various meetings.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This is the Nike matrix: You will report to NA Merchandising Business Operations, yet you will work very closely with NA Merchants, Planners, etc. along with various counterparts in other Geos and Global. You will act as the key contact for the Geo/Country line plan information by participating in critical team meetings and proactively communicating all relevant product information issues and solutions.
