CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANT

We are seeking an Administrative Service Assistant to join our Nikkiso Cryogenic Services (NCS), working with the Turbo Project Management team. Reporting directly to the Turbo Project Manager, the Service Assistant will be responsible for helping ensure NCS delivers the highest level of customer service and support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to the turbo service department
- Support project requirements by working closely with the turbo service project manager, reviewing operational processes, and benchmarking best practices
- Setup and maintain vendors
- Obtain vendor quotes and negotiate for the best possible price
- Procure materials and outside processes at the highest quality, lowest possible cost, with consistent on-time delivery to meet schedules
- Expedite orders and requests as needed
- Maintain records related to items purchased, costs, delivery, quality, and inventory
- Discuss defective goods or services with users and vendors to determine source of trouble and take corrective action
- Achieve service objectives by contributing relevant service information
- Participate with Turbo Service Project Manager in development of process roadmap, and management of service requirements
- Assist with the development of procedures and tools for product cost tracking and reporting
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Five or more years of customer service experience (in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player
- Excellent MS Office application experience
- Excellent interpersonal relations, customer service, and written/oral communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years related industry experience
- Solid working knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures
- Extensive knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing
